Résumé
The article examines the philosophy of Martinican author Édouard Glissant in the context of social sciences. Glissant's approach to linking political engagement with poetic thought and aesthetics based on his essay "Philosophie de la Relation" is discussed. The views of the author on development work and its political implications are tackled. His concepts of impossible partnership, economic opacity and the unknowable are also tackled.
